Useful Information

A light taken from a socket circuit must be protected by a fuse rated for the lighting cable.

Common in garages, sheds and lofts.

Important to know

  • Fit an FCU with a 3 A or 5 A fuse before the 1.0/1.5 mm² lighting cable (433.1).
  • Label the lighting as fed from the socket circuit (514.1).
  • The circuit must still have 30 mA RCD protection.
